The fundamental mission of EUCARE is to raise the profile of epilepsy across Europe through research and political activities. In working towards its goals, EUCARE pursues key strategies outlined by the International League Against Epilepsy and International Bureau for Epilepsy.
EUCARE aims to develop strategies for:
- improving the understanding of epilepsy, with emphasis on alleviating it’s social consequences;
- promoting exchange of knowledge between all disciplines that provide care for the people with epilepsy;
- supporting research into the diagnosis, management and evolution of seizure disorders;
- encouraging the promotion of epilepsy as a public health priority among governments and health authorities.
